State-Of-The-Art Indoor Tennis Courts & Pro Shop
When you think of great tennis, think of Paragon Athletic Club. We have the best indoor tennis facility in Central New York.
All tennis programs are under the direction of our USPTA Pro-1 Certified tennis professional Mike Pfisterer. Many individuals both adult and junior take advantage of our climate-controlled tennis courts throughout the summer months.
Paragon’s tennis facility offers:
Open court time
Adult and junior programs for both social and competitive play
Contracted court time (September – May)
Adult camps offered throughout the month of June
Junior camps offered June, July and August
Private, semi private and group lessons
The surface of our three indoor tennis courts is a layered, rubber cushion with an acrylic top layer. The top layer is mixed with rounded sand to slow the speed of the ball, creating a slower rate of play. Because the courts are cushioned, Paragon players will experience less fatigue. The brand and quality of surface found at Paragon is identical to the surfaces used at the U.S. Tennis Open.
We use an up-lit reflection lighting system. Our lighting system uses color corrected, metal halite light bulbs that shine upward onto a white canopy and back down onto the courts. As a result, our tennis courts are evenly lit and the chance of missed hits due to the inconvenience of direct lighting is eliminated.
Paragon members will experience the luxury of consistent quality tennis conditions 12 months of the year. Our facility offers a continual flow of air by exchanging the air six times per hour, and this is coupled with a state-of-the-art heating and air-conditioning system.
Paragon courts have an open-span construction with no pillar supports to obstruct play. Our spacious courts extend 20 feet behind the baseline and 18 feet between sidelines providing an open, unhindered playing environment. The ceilings at Paragon exceed the USTA standard, and are 27 feet at the eaves and 41 feet in the center of the facility, allowing for unobstructed lobbing.
